The Options: (Article continued from "Our Enemy")

Intro | Creation | Our Dilemma | The Savior | Our Enemy | The Options | A Final Word |

All of us have been born under the law of sin and death. We are all sinners “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;” (Romans 3:23) A dilemma has been set before us, and we have a choice to make. You have a choice to make. Are you with God, or are you against Him? Do you recognize the truth now that you have heard it? Have you considered your life carefully and weighed the consequence of your choices? Everyone has eternal life; it’s just up to you where you are going to spend it.

The Bible says that after physical death our spirit lives on. Each person will stand before God and give an account of their lives. Each person’s eternity will be based upon what they did with Jesus Christ, and those who lived in faithful obedience to the commands of God will be richly rewarded.

For those who reject Jesus Christ there isn’t hope, there isn’t a future. Those who look for forgiveness however will find it.  The Bible states that: “whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Romans 10:13)

“…if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the Scripture says, ‘whosoever believes on Him shall not be put to shame’.” (Romans 10:9-11 NKJV)

Jesus has come to give you life; eternal life with Him forever!  To recognize this truth and revere the Lord is very wise. "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction." (Proverbs 1:7)

You cannot serve God partially. You cannot live in half obedience to God. You must choose between Him and the devil. "No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other." (Matthew 6:24)

If you are for God you must accept His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ. Accepting Jesus into your life as Savior and Lord must be more then just an emotional reaction; it must be genuine faith and repentance.

Therefore what is the meaning of life? I tell you without the forgiveness of God, life has no meaning. Everyone who is born must die. Everything in this life that has had a beginning must have an ending. If there is nothing after this life then what really is the point of everything we do? If we simply are born to return to the earth what is the point of anything? Our families, our friends, our jobs, our possessions, our abilities, our skills, our successes; all these things become meaningless.

For those who reject the notion of accountability to God and refuse to seek His forgiveness, this life is indeed meaningless. Ignorance however will not make us unaccountable for our actions. Denying the Bible will not make it untrue.

Today is the day to turn away from the path of death and start on the road to life. Today is the day to recognize and accept the truth. Today is the day for freedom from the oppression of the devil in your life!

I invite you to make to most important decision you will ever make, right now, by praying this prayer aloud in sincerity and faith:

Heavenly Father, I come to you in the name of Jesus:

I here and now repent for my sins, and believe in Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
I believe that Christ died for me, as my substitute, and rose from the dead according to the Scriptures.
Thank you God, for sending Your Son, and paying my debt in full.
Even though I was separated from You by my sins, You saw me helpless, and fallen, and loved me enough to die for me.
I believe that Jesus suffered the penalty of my sins, and paid the full price to clear my debt.
Your Word declares that His Precious Blood, sinless and Divine, pays for all of my sins.
Because He suffered my penalty, I am now free.
No sin remains to condemn me. I'm no longer guilty before You.
I believe the good news of the Cross, and Your promise that
"Whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved." (Acts 2:21)
I ask Your forgiveness, and I now receive Jesus Christ into my heart and life.
Today, I accept Your gift of love, mercy, peace and eternal life.
I declare by faith that Jesus Christ now lives in me.
I am a new creation in Christ, born of God with the life of Jesus in me.
I trust the blood of Christ blots out every sin from my life. My record is clean by Your mercy.
According to Your Word, I am now forgiven, I am now saved.

Friend, if you have prayed that prayer then your name has just been written in the book of life and you have just been spiritually reborn! "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new." (2 Corinthians 5:17)” From this moment forward God is your Father, you are His child and He will always be with you!

You were created with free will however, and like the heading of this section is called “the options”, there is another option. You may choose to reject Jesus Christ. You may choose to disregard everything you have read today. You may choose to ignore these warnings and shrug them of as the writings of just another religious zealot, however I caution you greatly: if you reject Jesus here on earth before mankind, Jesus will reject you before God in heaven.

If you choose to reject Christ, for the choice is yours, a place has been prepared for you where there is unimaginable weeping and sorrow. You will be separated from God. Without God there isn't joy, there isn’t happiness and there isn’t pleasure. In hell you will no longer have the capacity for these feelings. You will be stripped of everything that is good; you will be left with an eternal burden that will continually be too much to bear, yet you will have to bear it. Hell will not be a place where everyone takes delight in unlimited, unrestricted sin. Hell will be a place of torment; a desolate eternal prison of anguish and immense suffering.

Know that I am not writing these things simply to scare you, but so that you may know the truth. I am writing this because everyone deserves a chance to be told the truth, just as I was. I will not sugar-coat the reality of rejecting Jesus because you must be aware of the consequences. I am writing you this so that you may have the chance to change the direction your life is going. I am writing this so that you may experience life here on earth in its fullness and abundance and so you may have an eternity in heaven without sorrow. I am writing this so that you may know that God loves you, cares for you, and desires an eternal relationship with you.
